Specifically, 28.5% of cybersecurity roles advertised between October 2025 and March 2026 included AI-related requirements, compared to 14.2% during the same period in 2024. Despite the rise in AI-driven roles, certain job titles remain dominant in G7 cybersecurity hiring. Security Engineer and Cybersecurity Engineer/Analyst account for 18% and 16% of postings, respectively, followed by SOC Analyst (12%) and Cloud Security Engineer (9%). However, the role of SOC Analyst is undergoing transformation as AI systems take over repetitive tasks like alert triage, threat intelligence correlation, and execution of standardized decision-making workflows.
