Fake Recruitment Firm Duping Job Seekers Got Caught by Delhi Police
“Unemployed people are becoming the victims of cybercrimes these days at an increasing rate.”
A guy who has been connected to at least 85 cybercrime complaints nationwide has been taken into custody by Delhi Police’s Crime Branch for reportedly pretending to run a phony employment agency in order to trick job seekers.
The arrest came after a May allegation that the victim had lost a mobile phone connected to his bank account and had lost over Rs 3.9 lakh through illicit UPI transactions. A case was filed.

| “The money trail led police to multiple accounts, including a key beneficiary in Telangana who received Rs 1 lakh. The amount was transferred to another account registered under the name of a manpower company operating from Spaze IT Park, Gurgaon,” said DCP (crime) Aditya Gautam.
During a raid, the accused Muneer Khan, alias Sahil Sharma (33), of Palwal, Haryana, was arrested, said police. |
Khan and his friends founded the business to launder the earnings of cybercrime after Khan was imprisoned in a rape case. 200 checks, four debit cards, and other bogus accounts were found by the police. Arrests are being made for his accomplices.
