KVB Launches Campaign Against Cyber Fraud to Raise Awareness
“Now, private sector banks are also participating in cyberwarfare and ensuring their employees are also aware of cybersecurity.”
To increase awareness of cyber fraud, Karur Vysya Bank (KVB) in Tiruchi started a 60-day cybersecurity campaign on Thursday.
KVB’s corporate social responsibility campaign, “KVB sonna kelunga, digital fraud la sikadhinga” (Listen to KVB, do not become ensnared in digital fraud), aims to inform the public about safe digital behaviors and ways to avoid falling victim to cyber fraud.

N. Kamini, the Tiruchi Police Commissioner, launched the campaign.
KVB will hold awareness events in parks, places of worship, busy intersections, schools, colleges, panchayats, and senior care facilities. Over the course of the next sixty days, a specially made van equipped with LED screens will traverse Tiruchi, aided by the debut of two TV ads.
All KVB branches in Tiruchi would act as Digital Self-Defence Kiosks where members of the public can stroll in and get first-hand education about cybersecurity, the announcement noted.
