Microsoft Expands Windows 365 Cloud PC Hardware Options with ASUS and Dell Partnerships
Microsoft has announced the addition of two new devices to its Windows 365 Cloud PC lineup, partnering with ASUS and Dell to provide customers with more hardware choices for its cloud-based desktop service. The new devices, the ASUS NUC 16 for Windows 365 and the Dell Pro Desktop for Windows 365, are scheduled to be released in the third quarter of 2026, with availability varying by region and model.
New Devices and Features
These new devices join the existing Windows 365 Link, which was launched in April 2025 as Microsoft’s first Cloud PC device. While details about the new products are limited, it is known that they are designed to provide flexible deployment options and support for multiple monitors.
- The ASUS NUC 16 for Windows 365 is a compact mini PC that can be mounted behind a display and supports up to three monitors via HDMI and USB-C.
- The Dell Pro Desktop for Windows 365 is a fanless system that also supports up to three displays and offers multiple connectivity and mounting options.
Cloud PC Experience
According to Microsoft, all Cloud PC devices boot directly into the Windows 365 environment, providing users with a secure and familiar Windows desktop experience in the cloud.
The devices are managed using Microsoft Intune and come preinstalled with a locked-down operating system, Windows CPC, which receives automatic updates.
Upcoming Updates
In addition to the new hardware partnerships, Microsoft also announced updates to the Windows CPC operating system, scheduled for release in the second quarter of 2026. The updates will include support for pairing Bluetooth devices during the initial setup process and new tenant branding options, such as custom wallpapers, logos, and organization names on the sign-in screen.
Market Impact
