Microsoft has released an optional cumulative update for Windows 11, version 24H2 and 25H2, denoted by KB5079391. This update includes 29 changes that focus on bolstering the operating system’s security features, particularly Smart App Control.

Smart App Control Enhancements

User-friendly controls have been added to enable or disable Smart App Control without requiring a full system reinstallation. According to Microsoft, enabling Smart App Control will help block potentially harmful applications by toggling the setting found under Settings > Windows Security > App & Browser Control > Smart App Control settings.
