Netskope Enhances Data Localization Capabilities with NewEdge Updates

In a move aimed at addressing growing concerns over data sovereignty, Netskope has expanded its NewEdge Network infrastructure, providing enhanced data localization capabilities to more regions than any other Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) cloud provider.

Key Components of Data Localization

Network Transport:

Ensuring that data is processed and transmitted within national borders through local providers.
Data Processing:

Conducting all necessary computations and processing activities within the country.
Domestic Storage:

Storing identifiable and proprietary data and logs within the country, ensuring sensitive information remains within domestic borders.
Metadata Governance:

Governing descriptive information generated during transport, processing, and storage within national borders.

The Netskope NewEdge Network was designed to provide customers with control and flexibility over where and how their data is secured. This infrastructure operates within data planes in applicable countries, allowing for real-time monitoring, inspection, and control of traffic flows and metadata within national boundaries.

To ensure compliance, Netskope offers third-party validation for its sovereignty posture, providing certifications for formal legal and governmental auditing. This enhancement includes the integration of over 120 data centers across more than 80 regions, including recent additions in Indonesia and Turkey.

Optimizing Routing and Local Processing

The company’s AI Fast Path feature optimizes routing and local processing for AI workloads, eliminating the trade-off between strict security and governance controls and the speed required for modern, multi-prompt agentic AI.
