Investigations revealed the gang operated a deceptive online platform named ‘Lambodar Institute,’ which falsely advertised career prospects in the aviation sector. The group leveraged digital channels, including search engines and social media, to gather information on unemployed individuals. They then initiated contact, presenting fabricated job offers to entice victims. To enhance credibility, members of the organization produced counterfeit appointment letters, training certifications, and other formal documents. Once trust was established, they demanded payments for registration, training, and administrative costs.

Financial Manipulation and Evasion Strategies

The accused reportedly utilized multiple banking accounts to process fraudulent transactions, complicating efforts to trace fund flows. When victims expressed doubts or filed complaints, the gang allegedly relocated to evade detection, enabling continued exploitation of new targets. This tactic allowed the operation to persist while concealing the perpetrators’ identities.

Law Enforcement Action and Seizure of Evidence

Noida Cyber Crime Police received intelligence about the illicit call center and executed a targeted raid, resulting in the apprehension of five suspects: Sakib, Akash alias Aman, Mohammad Afroz, Sumit Gupta, and Aamir. Authorities are actively seeking the alleged mastermind, Dr. Ajay, who is believed to have orchestrated the scheme. During the operation, investigators recovered 18 mobile devices, six laptops, a central processing unit, SIM cards, headphones, debit cards, chequebooks, company seals, and numerous forged documents. These items are undergoing forensic analysis to uncover details about the gang’s communication networks, financial activities, and potential ties to broader criminal enterprises.
