This equates to $6.5 million per hour, $108,000 per minute, and $1,800 per second. By 2031, the annual ransomware cost is expected to surpass $275 billion, driving daily damages to exceed $726 million within six years.

StationX’s Ransomware Cost Calculation Tool

To help organizations assess potential losses, StationX developed a tool that calculates ransomware costs using parameters such as company size, industry, data backup status, and cyberinsurance coverage. The calculator leverages data from Sophos, IBM, and Verizon to estimate financial impact and recovery timelines.
