Leader of child sextortion group 764 enters guilty plea October 11, 2026

A federal court proceeding has confirmed that Prasan Nepal, identified as the operational head of the child exploitation network 764, has admitted to criminal charges related to sexual exploitation of minors. Nepal, who was a minor at the time of his initial involvement, rose to leadership within the organization and orchestrated activities involving the manipulation and financial extortion of children. Under the alias “Trippy,” he acknowledged responsibility for conspiracy to commit child sexual exploitation, with sentencing guidelines indicating a minimum incarceration term of 15 years. Nepal managed membership within 764 and its affiliated subgroup “764 Inferno,” directing members to target vulnerable individuals and produce explicit material depicting minors engaging in self-harm and violent acts. The U.S. Department of Justice characterizes 764 as a network of extremist actors focused on exploiting minors and marginalized groups. The group maintains ties to “The Com,” a transnational entity linked to criminal enterprises involving financial gain, sexual misconduct, and violent behavior. This legal development aligns with ongoing investigations targeting 764, with multiple associates already receiving extended prison terms. A co-defendant, Leonidas Varagiannis, remains in custody in Greece pending judicial proceedings. The case underscores the complexity of dismantling such organizations and the persistent challenges faced by authorities in addressing their operations. A separate report details coordinated efforts by U.S., UK, and allied agencies to document the cyber activities of Integrity Technology Group, a Chinese entity designated for sanctions. Another update reveals a security incident involving an FBI contractor, attributed to an unpatched vulnerability that led to a data breach impacting employee records. Meanwhile, Italy’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs is actively countering a cyberattack on its digital infrastructure, seeking collaborative measures through the European Union to trace the source of the assault.
