A 25-year-old guy was arrested by Kalwad police here on Wednesday for reportedly targeting women with threats and pornographic material using fictitious Facebook IDs.

| The accused was identified as Prahlad Singh, according to DCP (West) Hanuman Prasad Meena. After a woman filed a complaint against him with serious claims, the Kalwad police took him into custody.

In addition, police had to approach the case as a serious cybercrime with intent to intimidate because he and another man, Ravi Rampuria, reportedly harassed her for four days in a row in February. After the complaint was filed on Tuesday, the crime branch and technical teams began an investigation.
The offender was apprehended after the police followed the trail of phony profiles to a village in the Churu region using technical surveillance and social media forensics. He admitted to setting up several fake social media profiles to harass and disparage women online.
