CODORRA Hackathon 2026: India’s Premier Cybersecurity Hackathon
CODORRA Hackathon 2026
Are you a hacking practitioner working in the IT Industry? If yes, then this is the chance for you to show your skills. Join the CODORRA Hackathon 2026 and try your hand at this amazing opportunity.
CODORRA Hackathon is a two-phase, high-intensity cybersecurity hackathon that focuses on creating useful security solutions and “defense-tooling” as opposed to merely presentation decks. It brings together independent builders, experts, and students to address urgent security issues in a variety of technical disciplines.
Objective
- Practical Innovation: To replace “vaporware” with the creation of functional, open-source security prototypes.
- Skill Bridging: To establish a link between academic understanding and industry-standard cybersecurity implementation.
- Security Problem Solving: To address practical weaknesses in areas such as infrastructure protection and AI/ML security.
- Community Growth: To cultivate a network of “builders” who may advance initiatives into production and receive ongoing mentoring.
Events
- Phase 1 (Online Submission): Teams are formed, and the project code is submitted via Devpost and GitHub for preliminary review.
- Phase 2 (Offline Demo Day): In order to present their functional prototypes, finalists are invited to a live “pitch and demo” session.
- Q&A & Judging: A demanding meeting where founders, operators, and industry experts assess the projects’ technical depth.
- Post-Event Mentorship: Top performers and winners get continuous assistance to grow their projects.

Venue
- Primary Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India (In-person for the Grand Finale).
- Hybrid Option: For remote and foreign teams, fully virtual participation is also possible through WhatsApp and Discord.
Time
- Round 1: Online Build Phase
Date: April 17 – April 27, 2026
Format: Virtual (Discord/Devpost)
This isn’t just a “submission” phase; it is a 10-day sprint when teams convert from an idea to a functional codebase.
- The Launch (Day 1): Formally described are the “Tracks” (particular problem domains such as AI-Security, Infrastructure Defense, or Privacy-Enhancing Tech). To address inquiries regarding technical limitations, the organizers present a kick-off webcast.
- The Sprint: Teams develop their tools asynchronously. CODORRA demands a public GitHub repository, in contrast to other hackathons.
- Discord Check-ins: In order to offer “technical triage,” mentors and organizers actively participate in certain channels to assist teams with debugging architecture or improving their security logic.
- The Submission (Final Day): Teams must submit:
- Working Code: A proper README in the repository.
- Demo Video: A two to three-minute screencast that demonstrates the tool’s functionality without any “commercial” style changes.
- Technical Documentation: A quick write-up on the “Threat Model” that the tool handles.
- Round 2: Offline Demo Day
Date: Early June 2026 (Post-shortlisting)
Format: In-person (Bengaluru) / Hybrid
Only the best teams from the first round are invited. Today is a day of great reward and high pressure.
- 24/7 Venue Access: Finalists typically arrive a day early. The Bengaluru location is still available for “final polish” and networking.
- The “No-Slide” Demo: CODORRA is well known for its “Code-First” methodology. Typically, you have to run your tool live in a demo booth or on stage. You display the terminal if the tool is a CLI (Command Line Interface) security tool.
- Deep-Dive Judging: You are questioned by “Operators,” who really create security goods, as opposed to a generic panel. They will inquire about edge cases, how a real-world attacker might get around your tool, and how efficient your code is.
- Speed Networking: Participants interact with sponsors (VCs and security firms) who are looking for talent or possible startups during scheduled blocks.
- The Awards Ceremony: “Golden Tickets” for direct internship interviews or venture mentorship are given out along with the ₹400,000 prize pool.
Participants
- Teams of three to five people are welcome.
- Students, working professionals, and independent security researchers are among the eligible groups.
Speakers
Even when exact names are announced closer to the occasion, the panel usually comprises:
- Founders and operators of cybersecurity.
- IT companies’ security researchers.
- Venture capitalists with expertise in cybersecurity and deep technology.
Prize
- Total Prize Pool: Approximately ₹400,000 (INR).
- Additional Rewards: Opportunities for internships with affiliated companies and specialist project commercialization mentoring.
