32 Computer Science Professionals Vacancies by Bengal CID against fake hate posts

“Bengal Police is on high alert due to rising fake hate posts, hate speeches, and is ready to hire some professionals with computer science skills.”

Amid growing worries about hate speech and fake news on social media, the Bengal CID announced intentions to add 32 computer science experts to bolster its cybercrime-fighting capabilities.

The ruling follows a spike in hate speech and bogus news on the internet about the Pahalgam incident, the Murshidabad unrest, and Operation Sindoor. Together, Bengal Police, Kolkata Police, and CID were able to identify over 1,500 social media accounts that were disseminating hate speech and false information.

These analysts’ main duties will be to collect electronic evidence, keep an eye out for hate speech and fake news on social media platforms, and work with social media administrators to remove content quickly when needed.

They will have to track down hate speech and fake news all day and night in addition to collecting e-evidence. To swiftly remove them, they will follow up with the relevant authorities.

To assist CID in obtaining leads, they will also endeavor to keep in touch with these social media administrators.

Even the employment ads are posted publicly on CID’s website, possibly in recognition of the young generation’s outlook.

Online applications will be taken from June 2 through July 1.

Official Notification, CID Website

Candidates must possess either a PGDCA, BSc in computer science, BCA, or DOEACC ‘A’ level course certification from recognized institutions.

The chosen experts would receive a temporary, contractual wage of Rs 21,000 per month.

9 positions for cyber forensics experts (CFEs), who will be subject-matter specialists in their own right and have no prior experience in traditional policing, were previously posted by the state CID. By the way, crypto analysts will also be included in this.

Reports

The CID was prepared to provide compensation that was competitive with the industry, even though these positions would be contractual. Two Cloud forensic experts, one crypto analyst, two disk forensic experts, two mobile forensic experts, one network forensic expert, and one malware forensic expert have already been employed or are in the process of being hired by the state inquiry agency, according to police.

The specialists will operate in a state-of-the-art cyber lab, which was initially envisioned in 2017 when the organization hired 100 software engineers to identify and stop misinformation from spreading on social media platforms.
