Cyberfraud Network Busted in Mehsana as Eight Suspects Arrested
Ahmedabad, Gujarat: Eight people from Mehsana district were detained by the State Cyber Crime Cell of CID Crime, Gandhinagar, on suspicion of withdrawing and laundering funds earned through cyberfraud. The arrests are a result of Gujarat’s stepped-up efforts to combat organized financial cybercrime.
Based on technological analysis and intelligence obtained via the Union home ministry’s “Pratibimb Portal,” officials were able to track down suspicious financial activity linked to fraudulent investment schemes.

Promises of large returns through “offline trading” and stock market advice were used to entice victims. No refunds were given to the victims after they invested in the scams, leading to charges of fraud and betrayal.
The accused opened several bank accounts under various names, withdrew the stolen funds using ATMs and checks, and transferred close to ₹64.30 lakh through these accounts, according to the findings of the complaints’ investigations.
The defendant worked in Mehsana under the name “Prime Solutions.” The suspects were arrested after raids were carried out at four different locations throughout the region. During questioning, it was discovered that they collected and took out the illegal money using their own and their friends’ bank accounts.
Eighty checkbooks and passbooks from various banks, sixteen debit cards, twelve PAN cards, eleven Aadhaar cards, six voter ID cards, nine mobile phones, two enterprise registration documents, one rent agreement, and eight RC books were found among the accused.
According to the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, all eight defendants were charged with criminal conspiracy, cheating, and breach of trust. According to authorities, the case is being looked into further in order to find more connections and benefactors inside the cyberfraud network.
