Victim’s Account

The woman, residing in Badshahpur, disclosed to investigators that she created a profile on a matrimonial platform while seeking a marriage partner. A male user subsequently contacted her via the application, presenting himself as a reliable individual with intentions of marriage. Over time, the suspect intensified interactions, fostering a sense of closeness and trust.

According to official reports, the accused later requested the victim’s credit card information under the guise of personal or financial necessity. The woman reportedly provided the details without suspicion, allowing the perpetrator to access her account.

Subsequent transactions totaling ₹2.31 lakh were executed without her consent. The victim became aware of the fraudulent activity after receiving notifications from her bank. Upon reviewing her account, she confirmed significant unauthorized withdrawals. Attempts to contact the individual through the application proved unsuccessful, leading her to realize she had been deceived.
