Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre is going to launch a Centralized Cybercrime Monitoring System in UP

The Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) and the Uttar Pradesh police held a crucial meeting to talk about ways to fight cybercrime.

The primary objective was to strengthen collaboration between the state and the center to effectively address the rising menace of cybercrime.

The officials agreed to focus on three key areas, including

  1. Identification & Prevention of Cybercrimes,
  2. Police Preparedness and Training, and
  3. Spreading awareness among the public.

Director General of Police (DGP) Rajiv Krishna, Additional DG Cybercrime Binod Kumar Singh, and other high-ranking officials were present at the meeting. The necessity of state-centered and center-led collaboration in the fight against cybercrime was agreed upon at the end of the discussion, underscoring the possibility that the UP Police-I4C collaboration may serve as a template for other states.

The creation of a dedicated center in Uttar Pradesh for the prevention and investigation of cybercrimes, with a focus on crimes against women and children, was one of the topics of discussion during the conference.

They also discussed giving police officers specialized training and implementing an easy-to-use procedure for filing complaints. In addition to efforts to ensure prompt relief for victims of fraud and deceit, the meeting underscored the need to improve the administration of cybercrime-related complaints and information by establishing a centralized system to monitor and assess the quality of complaint redressal.

The officials also talked about identifying regions that are vulnerable to cyber theft, forming a specialized team to guarantee the prompt restoration of stolen funds, and launching awareness programs in localities to inform the public about cybercrimes.

The significance of training police officers in cybercrime investigation and capacity building was also emphasized at the discussion.
