Microsoft Unveils Advanced Security Tool for CISOs and AI Risk Leaders
Microsoft Introduces Security Dashboard for AI
Microsoft has introduced a new security tool designed to help Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) risk leaders manage and mitigate AI-related security risks within their organizations.
According to Amanda Lowe, Senior Product Manager at Microsoft, “This dashboard provides CISOs and AI risk leaders with a governance tool to discover and track AI agents and applications, monitor AI posture and drift, and correlate risk signals to investigate and take action across their entire AI ecosystem.”
Key Features of the Security Dashboard for AI
The dashboard includes an inventory of AI assets, encompassing AI agents, models, servers, and applications, including both Microsoft AI services integrated with Entra, Defender, and Purview, as well as third-party AI models and applications.
Using natural language queries, security teams can identify unmanaged or shadow AI agents, review related activity, and explore risk context tied to specific assets.
The dashboard also evaluates the effectiveness of AI security controls within an organization and provides recommendations linked to identified risks.
Availability and Access
The Security Dashboard for AI is available to organizations that use eligible Microsoft security products.
Organizations already securing AI workloads through Microsoft security tooling can access the dashboard during the public preview period.
