National Cyber Security Research Council Launched in India
“This moment is a huge opportunity for India to say that ‘We are going towards a great future in the IT field’ and is mesmerized by its achievement.”
Bengaluru, July 27 (UNI) The National Cyber Security Research Council (NCSRC) was formally established here late last evening in a major move to strengthen India’s cyber resilience. The Council will serve as a strategic center for cutting-edge research, technological development, and interagency cybersecurity cooperation with the goal of protecting the country’s digital infrastructure.
The NCSRC was established in response to increasing cyberthreats to India’s defense, commercial, and public networks. It will collaborate closely with state and federal government agencies to carry out threat assessments, find weaknesses in systems, and implement preventative measures.
The Council will be chaired by Dr. E. Khaliraj, a senior cybersecurity strategist recognized for his grassroots cyber literacy efforts and promotion of ethical hacking. Under his leadership, the Council has already performed over 150 awareness and impact initiatives and built more than 300 Cyber Resource Centers across the country.
