A woman in Haldwani fell victim to a sophisticated cyber fraud scheme after attempting to return a ₹380 pair of jeans purchased online. Over the course of a 17-minute call, the fraudster manipulated the victim into sharing information linked to her Google Pay account. Shortly after, ₹1 lakh was unauthorizedly withdrawn from her bank account.
