ED Arrested ₹5,000 Cr Cyber Fraud Accused from Delhi Airport

Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested the accused who committed cyber fraud of Rupees five thousand crore from Delhi Airport.

In a major action, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested an accused of cyber fraud worth more than Rs 5,000 crore from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI Airport).

ED says that the accused has defrauded the common people of Rs 5,000 crore through cybercrime and online gaming.

ED had already arrested another accused in this case.  These accused used to send cyber fraud money out of India to launder it.

Giving this information on a social networking site Puneet Kumar, a resident of Moti Nagar, Delhi, is accused of cheating the general public through cyber crimes, laundering the proceeds of crime, and sending it out of India.

Puneet Kumar alias PuneetMaheshwari had used servers located in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to defraud people.  Last month, ED had arrested another accused Ashish Kakkar in the same case from a hotel in Gurugram.

At present, he is in jail under judicial custody.  This case of money laundering is related to police FIRs registered in Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and some other places.
