This functionality is specifically tailored for individuals utilizing shared or restricted computing environments, such as students accessing campus devices or employees using work-issued laptops.

Key Features of Web-Based Calls

The web-based calling system provides access to features consistent with those available on other platforms, including screen-sharing capabilities, real-time reactions, and a centralized Calls tab that maintains a complete record of call history and frequently contacted participants. All web-based calls are secured through end-to-end encryption, operate without time restrictions, and are offered at no cost.

Waiting Room Feature

A newly introduced feature called Waiting Room enhances user control over group call access by requiring participants to await approval before joining a session. When the “Require approval to join” setting is activated, attendees are directed to a virtual waiting area until the host grants entry.

Call Transfer and Enhanced Performance

The platform has implemented Call Transfer, allowing users to seamlessly transition ongoing calls between mobile devices, tablets, desktop computers, and web browsers.
