8 Gang Members Arrested for Kidnapping and Robbing a Man of ₹30 Lakhs, Posing as Cyber Police
According to the police, the gang forced the victim into a Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and drove him to Palm Beach Road, where they looted, threatened, and beat him before abandoning him.

Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra: A group of eight people were taken into custody by the Sanpada police for posing as the Kerala cyber police and stealing ₹31.73 lakh in cash from a 25-year-old at a Juinagar ATM on May 31.
Police stated that the victim, Muhammad Ramees Abdul Hameed Eidwalath, visited an ATM to deposit money at 7:45 a.m. when the incident occurred. According to the police, the gang forced Ramees into a Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and drove him to Palm Beach Road, where they looted, threatened, and abused him before dumping him before they ran away.

The abandoned Ertiga on the Sanpada highway was searched by the police. They located the automobile’s owner, who claimed to be with the Kerala cyber police, and informed them that the gang had taken his car.
After the inquiry showed that the accused had escaped to Bengaluru, the police dispatched a team to inspect about 500–600 lodges in the city. On June 2, within 36 hours of the crime, the accused were apprehended in the Upparpet neighborhood.

Anwar Maheen Basha, 25, Faseel Kasim, 30, Mohammad Sabeeth Ashraf, 25, Faseel Kasim, 28, and 31-year-old Faseel Abdul Rehman were the names of the accused, who were all from Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
The suspects were charged under sections 310 (2) (dacoity), 138 (abduction), 204 (personating a public servant), and 61 (criminal conspiracy) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) after the police confiscated cash, cell phones, the Maruti Ertiga, and bank account deposits totaling ₹30.48 lakh.
