UP Board Warns Against Cyber Scams During Admission Scrutiny
Warning from UP Board Regarding Cyber Fraud During Scrutiny Process
The Board of Secondary Education in Uttar Pradesh has issued a warning to students and parents regarding potential cyber fraud during the scrutiny process for the 2026 high school and intermediate exams.
Scammers Posing as Board Officials
- The warning comes after reports emerged of scammers posing as board officials, claiming they can influence the scrutiny process, modify results, or provide special assistance in exchange for money.
The Board has stated that “cybercriminals may contact students and families through various means, including phone calls, messages, emails, and social media platforms.”
Scrutiny Process Guidelines
- The scrutiny process is strictly governed by established rules, and no individual can influence the outcome through payment or other means.
- The focus is on detecting calculation errors, ensuring all answers have been evaluated, and verifying whether any technical mistakes were made during marking.
Advice to Students and Parents
- Students and parents are advised to remain vigilant and cautious.
- They should not share their roll numbers, bank details, ATM information, UPI PINs, or OTPs with unknown individuals.
- The Board has encouraged students to report any suspicious calls, emails, or messages to their District Inspector of Schools office or the national cybercrime helpline at 1930.
Law Enforcement Action
The law enforcement agencies, including the Uttar Pradesh Police, will take strict action against those involved in these fraudulent activities.
The Board expects to announce scrutiny results in June 2026, although no specific date has been confirmed.
