Automated Certificate Management Tool Launched for Small Businesses

GlobalSign has introduced TLS Connect, a Certificate Lifecycle Management (CLM) tool specifically designed for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).

Streamlining Certificate Deployment and Renewal

This tool enables SMBs to streamline the process of deploying and renewing Public Trust TLS certificates, enhancing security, maintaining regulatory compliance, and mitigating business risks.

According to Julie Gaunt, Senior Product Manager at GlobalSign, “A significant business risk arises when organizations fail to accurately manage their TLS certificates. Missing a single certificate renewal can cause website and application outages, compromising regulatory compliance and brand reputation.”

Solving the Challenges Faced by SMBs

Traditional CLM solutions often prove cost-prohibitive for SMBs, who frequently rely on manual tracking methods that expose them to certificate-related downtime and reputational damage.

TLS Connect: A Scalable and Affordable Solution

  • Certificate discovery and scanning capabilities
  • Compatibility with various network devices and servers
  • Centralized management and reporting dashboard
  • Compliance with regulatory guidelines
According to Aditya Anab, Head of Business Unit for TLS CLM CA Division at GlobalSign, “The rapidly changing TLS certificate landscape demands efficient CLM solutions, particularly for SMBs. TLS Connect fills this gap by providing a robust and user-friendly CLM solution at an affordable price point, empowering SMBs to securely manage their certificates and minimize the impact of shortened certificate lifespans.”

The launch of TLS Connect coincides with the scheduled reduction in TLS certificate lifespans. On March 15, 2026, the lifespan was reduced from 398 to 200 days. Further reductions are planned for March 15, 2027 (100 days), and March 15, 2029 (47 days).
