CBI Registers Case Against Indore Youth for Online Sexual Assault Complaint of an Australian Girl

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday registered an FIR against a youth from Indore for online sexual exploitation and threatening of an Australian minor girl.  Identifying the accused as Ankur Shukla, a resident of Indore, Madhya Pradesh, the agency said a case has been registered against him based on input received by the CBI through Interpol.

According to the agency, it is alleged that the accused befriended a minor girl on Instagram.  During a conversation with the girl, he allegedly coaxed her into sending objectionable pictures and videos.

Based on inputs received from the international agency, CBI gathered intelligence regarding the accused and reached Shukla’s location.  In addition to that, CBI also collected other relevant evidence.

Threatened for Refusing To Share Photos and Videos

According to CBI, the house of accused Shukla was searched, where a computer hard disk, mobile phone, and other devices were recovered.

When the minor girl became reluctant to share the pictures and videos, the accused started threatening her that he would send her pictures and videos to her friends and family.

Threat on WhatsApp for Blocking Instagram

The CBI said in the FIR that after the threat, the girl continued sharing videos and pictures under pressure, but later the victim blocked the accused on Instagram.

However, the accused again contacted the victim on WhatsApp and threatened her again.
