The total estimated value of the 11 additional cybercrime cases nationwide involving the fraudster Rijas K is ₹22.77 crore.

The Margao woman who filed the case claimed that the accused made many calls and sent numerous WhatsApp messages from different numbers between May 20 and June 2.

Rahul Gupta, the Superintendent of Police (Cyber Crime), claimed that the victim was deceitfully told that a police complaint had been filed against her Aadhaar number. In order to exert pressure, he then submitted a counterfeit copy of a Supreme Court ruling. He then made the complainant deposit ₹26,033,634 into a number of different bank accounts.

The investigation found that one Rijas K., a resident of Kozhikode, Kerala, owned an ICICI Bank account that contained ₹76,35,760 of the total sum. After that, the Cyber Crime team traveled to Kozhikode.
