Critical Security Patch Updates Now Rolling Out Monthly from Oracle

Oracle has announced a shift in its security update strategy, supplementing the traditional quarterly Critical Patch Update (CPU) with monthly security releases.

The first monthly Critical Security Patch Update (CSPU) is scheduled for May 28.
Subsequent updates are planned for June 16 and August 18.
In July, the company will release the usual quarterly CPU, which will include fixes for both new security defects and previously released patches.

According to Oracle, “This accelerated patch schedule is made possible by the deployment of AI technology across Oracle’s environments, enhancing code analysis, security testing, and vulnerability detection capabilities.”
