Online Air Intelligence (AI) Fraud: A new method used by financial con artists is calling you on video from a recognized person at an unknown number and claiming that there is a financial emergency. The known video caller from the unknown number would offer you to lend them money, which you might transfer in the hopes of receiving it back once they were out of debt. However, the call was actually a fake made by an online scammer employing the “Deep Fake” technique and “Air Intelligence” technology. In this brand-new category of online scams, the perpetrator uses a voice and video sample of a well-known person before calling the victim and offering instructions over the phone. The victim thinks they are speaking to a familiar person since the technology is so easy to use.
Mohit Yadav, an internet security expert in Delhi, warned people about this new form of online fraud: “The video call might be from your wife, brother, father, or mother as well. Therefore, when a known person contacts utilizing a video call from an unknown number, one must be cautious and use common sense.
Because individuals are uninformed that Al technology is creating a know face that can converse with them on instructions, Dubey claimed that the “Deep Fake” technique is extremely smooth for carrying out online economic offense.

After receiving a known person’s video call, Pavan Duggal offered this advice on how to secure the safety of one’s money: “Very straightforward. Simply converse with the person on the other end of the video call before dialing their number. If the person has previously told someone through video call about the issue. Don’t send money until you have spoken with the recipient on his or her provided phone number for added security.
