Ratan Lal Agrawal, a resident of C-4 Shriji Kunj in Banke Bihari Basti, Vrindavan, fell victim to the scam. The incident was reported to local cyber authorities after he transferred ₹30 lakh to fraudsters.

The victim received a call on September 28 from an unidentified number. The caller claimed to represent the ATS and alleged that the victim’s spouse’s mobile number was associated with illicit activities. They threatened legal consequences and potential incarceration for family members if the victim did not comply.
Funds Transfer
Over three days, the fraudsters maintained contact through phone and video calls, pressuring the victim to transfer funds. On October 1, he transferred ₹30 lakh via RTGS to an account specified by the perpetrators.

The scam was uncovered when the victim’s son became aware of the situation and initiated an online complaint. A formal written report was later submitted to the cyber police station.
