Microsoft Confronts Installation Issues with Office on Windows 365 Devices
In a recent development, Microsoft has encountered problems allowing some users to install Office on Windows 365 devices.
This situation is attributed to a configuration adjustment made through a recent service update, identified as WP1309017.
The issue was first recognized on Tuesday, May 12, and the company is actively working on a solution, expecting it to be deployed to affected environments.
However, implementing the fix might delay the resolution of the Office installation issues until at least Friday.
Microsoft emphasized that they are closely monitoring the situation and have issued an advisory regarding the ongoing incident.
The advisory indicates a potentially limited scope or impact, but Microsoft cautions that any Windows 365 user attempting to install Office could be affected.
This challenge follows another instance earlier this year when the KB5074109 Windows security update led to connectivity issues with Remote Desktop connections to Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365 for users running Windows 10, Windows 11, and Windows Server.
Subsequently, Microsoft released several emergency updates to address the issue.
