There is a payment option and information is given that there is an outstanding of some rupees on his credit card.  On seeing this information, the person thinks that there will be an SMS from the bank, after which he uploads all the data on the website.

After this, the calls start coming.  The person calling calls himself a bank employee. Credit card consumers are told that if they do not pay their credit card bill, their card will be closed.  After this, the consumers decide to make the payment out of fear.

Later he realizes that a fraud has happened to him.  There is a new method of scam that scammers are doing. Therefore, you should beware of such scams.

  • Avoid sharing information related to your credit card like credit number, expiry date, CVV number, etc.
  • Keep in mind that do not submit your credit card statement online. Because this increases the risk of being cheated.
