Finally, WhatsApp for iPad! WhatsApp Makes its iPad Debut after 15 Long Years of Market Presence

After a 15-year wait, the most widely used messaging program in the world, WhatsApp, has finally made its iPad debut
WhatsApp for iPad: A long-awaited feature, a dedicated WhatsApp app for the iPad, has been released by Meta. The new app has the same features as the iPhone version of WhatsApp and was made available worldwide on Wednesday through the Apple App Store.
The new iPad app allows users to share their screen, swap between the front and rear cameras, and make audio and video conferences with up to 32 people. Previously, in order to use WhatsApp on an iPad, you had to use a browser to access the web version.
Additionally, the app enables users to maintain synchronization between their Mac, iPhone, and other devices. WhatsApp’s end-to-end encryption protects private calls, messages, and media.
It fully utilizes iPadOS multitasking capabilities like Stage Manager, Split View, and Slide Over because it is a native iPad software. With the help of these tools, users can send messages while online, see various apps at once, or look up group travel alternatives while on the phone. To accomplish these kinds of actions on smartphones, users would normally need to exit WhatsApp.
WhatsApp also mentions how well the new iPad app integrates with the Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard.
After Many Long Years, WhatsApp for iPad is an Exciting Feature!
For years, Meta had failed to provide a clear explanation for why it hadn’t introduced the most widely used messaging app to the iPad, which is undoubtedly the best-selling tablet available. Six months before the iPad’s release in 2009, WhatsApp made its debut on the Apple App Store. Despite acquiring WhatsApp in 2014, Meta (previously Facebook) has yet to produce a specific iPad app.
It was caused by other causes that Meta never discussed in public, not a lack of finances. The native iPad version of WhatsApp has long been desired by users. Although users could use the WhatsApp web client on Apple’s tablet, they were unable to make fully functional video calls or use the front or rear cameras.
Indeed, WhatsApp was always accessible on the iPhone, but because of Apple’s limitations on “telephony” apps, that version was not compatible with the iPad. Users no longer have to rely on WhatsApp’s web-based version thanks to a dedicated iPad app that is optimized for the iPad’s larger screen.
With an estimated 535.8 million users, India is the largest market for WhatsApp, which has over 3 billion monthly active users.
