In the recent 2 years, Kaspersky has tripled its personnel in India, adding new employees in support, pre-sales, and sales positions, according to Jaydeep Singh, general manager for the India area.

“In the last two years, we have tripled our employee base in India…We have part of the global research teams based out of India who do the threat hunting,” Singh told PTI on the sidelines of GITEX Asia 2025.

“We are expanding quite a bit both in respect to our key resources, and researchers in the Indian geography,” Singh noted. “What we are seeing in the last decade or so is that the intensity of attacks on the IT systems and the OT systems has increased tremendously.

So, we expect that cyber immunity as a concept will become stronger and will become more relevant over the next decade as well. “So, Kaspersky is investing big time in India. In the last 2 years, we have increased our commitment nearly three times. What we are looking at is India being an innovation hub for us.

A hub for a lot of collaboration with agencies, and we see great potential over the next decades to be part of India’s growth story and a part of this cyber resilience story for the Indian market,” Singh said.

Additionally, he emphasized the existence of international research teams situated in India that keep an eye on over 900 advanced persistent threat (APT) organizations every day.

A key component of Kaspersky’s worldwide threat intelligence operations is the GReAT (Kaspersky Global Research and Analysis Team). To support services like brand monitoring and takedown operations, Kaspersky is investing in digital footprint intelligence (DFI) experts.

Kaspersky intends to keep growing its resources and research skills in India since it sees the nation as a major center for innovation.

He underlined Kaspersky’s openness to work with and advise governments, and he looks forward to more advancements in AI legislation.

Strong cyber technologies are becoming more and more necessary as the number of internet users rises, particularly to safeguard mobile devices, operational technology (OT) systems, and assets that are visible to the internet.

Kaspersky uses artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning in its research and mitigation techniques to identify more than 450,000 distinct malware samples per day.

Singh underlined the necessity of building a “cyber immune world” in which systems are extremely impervious to intrusions, especially in OT and IT contexts.

In 2024, the Russian company saw double-digit growth in India.
